The Religion Communicators Council, an interfaith organization of professional religion communicators, presents two awards to members each year: The DeRose-Hinkhouse Memorial Award and the Wilbur Award.

70 Years Celebration of the Wilbur Awards

Wilbur Award statueSince 1949, the Wilbur Awards, have been presented annually to recognize excellence in the communication of religious issues, values and themes in secular media.

The entries are judged by media professionals in a jury process, under the supervision of RCC members across the country. Basic criteria include content, creativity, execution and results, but the ultimate criteria is excellence in the communication of religious values.

The banquet honoring the Wilbur winners for 2019 will be Friday, April 12, in the ballroom of the Millennium Knickerbocker, 163 East Walton Place, Chicago, Illinois.
